The Myth Of Burnout Prevention & Recovery

One of the most dangerous myth about burnout is that we just need to recover, get some rest, and that everything will get better. Rest is a first step, but there's deep work needed to uncover what got us there. Burnout is only a symptom of deeper rooted issues.

For 33 years, I survived without realising it.

My name is Mouna (pronounced “moon” + "ah”). I write, podcast and enjoy practicing Reiki and NLP. Fitness fanatic, when I’m not training glutes, I love the arts, expression, and meaningful connections. But before getting there, trauma, burnout, depression and multiple redundancies have kicked me down real good.

"Keep pushing" is cringe at best

The “Keep pushing” advice only works when you’re trying to get in extra rep to grow muscle at the gym. In life, when it affects your mental health, it’s not resilience but insanity.

I learnt the hard way to pick sustainable performance over burnout. It wasn't without a battle against addiction and depression.

I had it all but remained unhappy

I chased success and love, but nothing ever felt like enough because I never felt enough. 

Hitting rock bottom forced me to see how childhood abuse shaped my entire life: my relationships, my self-worth, and my very sense of safety in this world.

I've been there. 

 

I learned our defence mechanisms are survival superpowers until they cripple us. My journey taught me that resilience is built with softness, not the rage I carried. I’ve made it my mission to heal out loud because shame dissolves in the light of shared stories.


Beyond the work talk: I had to get on my own healing journey to discover what was most efficient and what didn't really matter. I'm not here to sell you onto "purpose," "thriving" and "unleashing your potential".  I really value offering a safe space for reflection, growth, and mindful living, empowering others to experience what life can truly mean in both personal and professional areas of life.


As a resilience mindset coach (trauma-informed) and wellbeing practitioner, I guides women who have face the hard setbacks like breakups, redundancies, burnout, or had the ghosts of their childhood trauma haunting their day to day toward rebuilding their energy, focus, and wellbeing.


Nothing woowoo there:  we talk, reflect with practical exercises and help you develop a resilient mindset which is a useful stuff to avoid burnout. Drawing on evidence-based practices, my sessions help cultivate resilience, manage stress, and restore peace and sense into your life.


In simple words: I hold space for your to reframe the stuff that trigger you and hold you back, so you can move forward in life with more control over your narrative.
